Is the Avatar ride at Animal Kingdom worth it?

It's so smooth and there is so much to look at, smell and feel. I didn't want the ride to end. Our family spoke about Avatar Flight of Passage the entire way out of the ride and on our bus ride back to the resort. Without giving too much away, we all agree that it's a ride that everyone should experience at least once.

Thirty minutes before the official opening of Animal Kingdom, on-site guests will be allowed to enter the park. If you are on-site and are entering during Early Theme Park Entry, we recommend you go straight to Flight of Passage (and only if you can do so pretty speedily).

Well, those expectations were met and exceeded! Hands down, we thought Avatar Flight of Passage was the best ride at Animal Kingdom — heck, it is definitely the best ride at Walt Disney World! It is no surprise this made it to the top of the list for our best rides at Disney for teens too!

Because it does not have a height requirement, it does not offer rider switch. If you're visiting Animal Kingdom with a small child this is likely to be a must-do together as a family. It isn't scary, per se, but it is quite a dark ride.

And finally, we get to Disney's Animal Kingdom. The longest wait there (on average) was Flight of Passage at 102 minutes.

Pandora has two rides. The Na'vi River Journey is the Pandora boat ride that brings you through an underground calming cave-like experience on the boat. Na'vi River Journey is very beautiful, slow-moving, and relaxing, but it's only about 5 minutes long. In general, we don't wait for more than 45 minutes for this ride.
