Is there a shuttle from Disney to Universal Studios?

Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando offer free shuttle services between their resorts and affiliated theme parks, but you may have to transfer from one to the other. Usually, routes run every 20 to 30 minutes, departing from the entrance of every Disney and Universal property.

There is no official, free shuttle service provided by Disney or Universal between the two resorts. Because they are direct competitors, each resort aims to keep guests on its own property. To travel between Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort, most guests utilize rideshare services like Uber or Lyft, which typically cost between 20 and 35 dollars each way and take about 20 to 30 minutes depending on traffic. As of February 2026, Waymo has also launched its autonomous ride-hailing service in Orlando, covering both resort areas, providing a tech-forward alternative for visitors. Another option is the Mears Connect shuttle (formerly the Disney Magical Express operator), which offers paid transfers between the major theme parks and various hotels. For budget-conscious travelers, the public Lynx bus system can be used, but it involves transfers and can take over 90 minutes, making it a less popular choice for those on a tight vacation schedule. If you are staying at a "Good Neighbor" hotel outside the parks, always check if they offer their own private shuttle that services both locations.
