Is there passport control at Eurostar?

Your passport will be checked by UKBA security staff before being checked by French passport control. This will only take a few minutes.

Eurostar passengers departing from London can avoid one of two manual passport checks through a facial verification system. The launch of the technology at St Pancras station – which also removes the need to scan tickets – is aimed at easing congestion.

On Eurostar there's no weight limit for your luggage, but you must be able to carry and lift your bags safely on your own, as there is no porter service at the station and our teams are unfortunately unable to help with luggage. Each bag can be up to 85cm long at its widest point and should be clearly labelled.

  1. Luggage racks above your seat.
  2. Free space on the floor between certain seats arranged back to back.
  3. Special luggage racks at the end of each coach for bigger items.
