Is TRON a short ride?

Indeed, there are a great many elements that went into creating TRON Lightycle Run that works in harmony to create a thrilling experience. That said, many of the initial reviews of the ride noted how short the actual ride experience is. From launch to final deceleration, you're looking at about 60 seconds of ride time.

This just seems odd to me, as everything I have read/seen about the ride describes it as fairly tame (minus the launch) with no real big drops, certainly no more than Guardians of the Galaxy which is listed as 'Small Drops'.

The TRON ride vehicles — or Lightcycles — are similar to a motorcycle. Like the vehicles on Avatar Flight of Passage in Animal Kingdom, you will lean forward when you board, with leg restraints that come down around the back of your calves. The back of the seat will come down to secure you in as well.

At the end of the day, if your child doesn't like thrill rides, TRON is not the one for them. However, even children who DO like thrill rides may find this one too intimidating, loud, or intense. If you don't know whether your child likes thrill rides, this is not a good starter coaster.

TRON does move up and down a fair bit, but there's very little of that “stomach-drop” feeling with your feet leaving the floor. That's for two reasons. The first is that on a Lightcycle your head points down, not your feet. But the bigger reason is that almost all of TRON's rise-and-drop motion includes a turn.
