The Town of Wrightsville Beach has over 1,600 metered spaces available for public parking. Meters are enforced every day from March 1 to Oct.31 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. (with some enforced 9 a.m. - 8 p.m.).

The first two hours of parking are free with a valid parking receipt being displayed on the dash. Unless a valid 2 hour free parking receipt is displayed, paid parking at $5.00 per hour will be enforced.
Paystations in lots and street ends accept credit cards, bills (up to $10), and coins (quarters and dollar coins), and the rate is $5.00 per hour. You may also pre-pay for your parking at the Parking Office before you head to the beach. Passes are sold in hourly, daily, multiple days, and weekly quantities.

It is known for being one of the best beaches in North Carolina, having warm climate year round, and wide range of recreational activities. It's only a two-hour drive from Raleigh, North Carolina's capital city, making it one of the most popular day trip destinations state-wide.
Some noises are banned at all times depending how loud they are, including horns, radios and TVs, shouting, animals, and vehicles that others find disturbing. Others are banned between 10:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. including outdoor music amplification, musical instruments, yelling, parties, fireworks, and more.
The City of Wilmington offers tips for parking downtown. Parking at the meters on weekends and holidays are free. There is parking available through many parking garages and lots throughout downtown. The Wilmington Parking Authority has two close lots: the 10th Street Garage or the 8th Street Lot.
Free parking is available at three access points controlled by Onslow County: Beach Access No. 1, 1795 New River Inlet Road, North Topsail Beach; Beach Access No. 2 - 2950 Island Drive, North Topsail Beach; and Beach Access No. 4 - 484 New River Inlet Road, North Topsail Beach.

Parking is available at several locales that cross paths with the Loop, (particularly the Lanier Parking center next to the Wrightsville Beach Park), and a walking tour of the entire route takes just an hour or so, depending on the speed.
How much are parking tickets? Parking fine amounts vary depending on the violation. Most meter violations are $50. If not paid, within 3 days, the penalty is $60; if not paid within 10 days, the penalty is $70.
Driving on the beach is not allowed within the Town of Wrightsville Beach. Visitors with a 4WD vehicle who want to drive on the beach can head south to Freeman Park in Carolina Beach, which is roughly a 35-40 minute drive away.
Overnight camping, driving, and open fires are prohibited within the Town of Carolina Beach. Options for all of these activities are available at other regions, such as Freeman Park and Carolina Beach State Park.
