What day is Pollensa Old town market?

The Pollensa Market is held every Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the center of the town, in the Plaza Major and surroundings. It has 300 points of sale with a varied proposal in food, textiles and handicrafts.

The traditional market in Pollensa (Pollença) Old Town is held every Sunday morning. It is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful and authentic markets on the island of Mallorca. The market typically runs from 8:00 AM until about 1:30 PM and takes over the main square (Plaça Major) and the surrounding narrow, winding streets. Visitors can find an incredible array of local produce, including Balearic cheeses, cured meats (sobrasada), olives, and fresh fruit, alongside traditional handicrafts like the "llengües" (tongues) fabric and hand-woven baskets. It is highly recommended to arrive early—before 10:00 AM—to beat the heat and the large tourist buses that arrive from the nearby coastal resorts of Port de Pollença and Alcúdia. Sunday is also a great day to visit because the local shops remain open, and the atmosphere is vibrant with locals enjoying a "vermut" or coffee at the outdoor cafes. If you miss the Sunday market, there is a smaller market in the nearby Port de Pollença on Wednesdays, but it lacks the historic charm of the Sunday event in the mountain-fringed Old Town.

Puerto Pollensa is certainly a better beach town than Port de Soller, but I think Soller is a nicer town that Pollensa. Having stayed in each, and only returning yesterday from Soller, I'd recommend Soller as the best base.

Areas to avoid If you're after something more relaxed, do stay away from Magaluf and Palma Nova as these places are where you'll find a lot of the 18-30's groups, along with English-style pubs, a big drinking culture and all-night parties. They are also jam-packed during the peak tourism months of July and August.

Deia, Fornalutx, Valldemossa would all meet your criteria. Old town of Pollensa and town of Soller might also suit. Hope this helps. Fornalutx,so picturesque, is in a mountainous valley but rental villas cost a plenty there especially the few with a pool.It does attract tourists but it won't be too busy in May.
