What is a DFAS smart voucher?

SmartVoucher simplifies the process of completing and submitting a permanent change of station (PCS) voucher. With SmartVoucher, Soldiers can attach orders, amendments, leave forms and other supporting documents. They can also sign forms electronically, which route to Army Military Pay Offices for review.

Log in to SmartVoucher with your CAC or myPay UserID and password. Select Create New Voucher, and follow the prompts to be on your way to create and submit your travel claim and supporting documents electronically.

Additional options to check the status of your voucher include: Call the self-service telephone line at 1-888-332-7366 (DSN 699-0300) to find out if your voucher has been paid. This is for travelers not using DTS.

You must file a voucher or local voucher to receive reimbursement for expenses you incurred and paid the allowances you earned while on official travel. DTS vouchers originate from an authorization, while DTS local vouchers are for official travel that has already occurred in your local area.
