Guest of Honor is a unique benefit of the World of Hyatt loyalty program that allows a member to "gift" their high-tier Globalist status benefits to another person for a specific stay. As of the 2026 program rules, these are earned as "Milestone Rewards"—one Guest of Honor award is granted after 40 qualifying nights, and two more are earned at the 60-night Globalist threshold. When a member applies this award to a friend or family member's booking, that guest receives all the perks usually reserved for top-tier elites, including free breakfast, club lounge access, room upgrades (up to standard suites), 4:00 PM late checkout, and waived resort or parking fees on award stays. This benefit is highly valued because the recipient does not need to have any status of their own to be treated like a Globalist. Additionally, as an incentive for the gifter, the Hyatt member who provides the Guest of Honor award receives one "Elite Night Credit" toward their own status once the guest completes their stay, making it a win-win for both the loyal member and their guest.
