A recurring charge of $14.99 from Uber is almost certainly the monthly subscription fee for Uber One. Uber One is a membership program designed to provide frequent users with discounts and perks across both Uber rides and Uber Eats deliveries. For $14.99 a month, members typically receive a $0 Delivery Fee on eligible food, groceries, and other orders, up to 10% off eligible non-rideshare deliveries, and 5% off "eligible" rides (typically UberX, XL, and higher). Additionally, Uber One often includes a "Live Support" feature and occasionally offers "Uber One Promises," such as giving you $5 in Uber Cash if the "Latest Arrival" estimate on a food order is missed. Many people find this charge on their statement because they signed up for a "free trial" and forgot to cancel it before the billing cycle turned over.
