It is possible to take Tram 2 from the airport to central Nice for as little as 3.70€. It's less convenient, especially after a long flight, but it is not particularly difficult. There is no cost to take Tram 2 from the airport to Grand Arénas, which is the first station outside of the airport.
Running east to west through downtown Nice, Tram 2 serves Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 of the Nice Côte d'Azur Airport and terminates at Port Lympia. Fast, clean, and affordable, the full trip between the airport and the port takes less than a half hour.
At the Nice airport, tram stops are located just outside of the terminal. There, vending machines are available to purchase an Airport Round-trip ticket for 10€ each. Similar to an ATM, the interface is available in multiple languages, including English. The machines only take credit cards with chips or Euro coins.
Nice city centre is less than 30 min. away by tram!This route stops at the airport (Terminal 1 and Terminal 2), and connects with the city centre via the “Jean Médecin” station, and with the port via the “Port Lympia” station.
Public transport in Nice is provided by buses and trams. Almost all lines use the same 1.50 euro ticket, which can be bought from the driver or vending machines.
At the tram stops, purchase your ticket at the kiosk prior to boarding. You can't purchase tickets on the tram. Once you board, insert your ticket into the validation machine with the arrow pointing down. The machine will be beep, stamp your ticket and spit it back out.

There is no cost to take Tram 2 from the airport to Grand Arénas, which is the first station outside of the airport. From there you may purchase the required rechargable pass (2€) and a single trip ticket (1.70€). You will have to get off the tram, purchase the ticket, and then get back on the next tram.
If you want to walk from the airport to the center of Nice, remember that the Promenade des Anglais is 7 km long. In addition, the section right next to the airport is unfortunately devoid pavements.
Keen cyclists are catered for too. Peddle away with Nice's Vélo Bleu bike-sharing scheme along the wide Promenade des Anglais. Nice's trams provide speedy, cost effective transport for guests staying in our Nice holiday rental apartments. The trams start running at 4.30am and run until 1.30am every night.
Based on the spending habits of previous travelers, when dining out an average meal in Nice should cost around €20 per person. Breakfast prices are usually a little cheaper than lunch or dinner. The price of food in sit-down restaurants in Nice is often higher than fast food prices or street food prices.
