What time does the Toronto Island close?

Park Hours: 10:30 AM - 05:00 PM.

Toronto Island Park itself does not have a "closing time" in the traditional sense, but its accessibility is governed by the Toronto Island Ferry schedule. In March 2026, the ferries typically operate from approximately 6:30 AM to 11:30 PM. The last ferry departing from the islands (Ward's Island or Hanlan's Point) usually leaves around 11:45 PM. During the winter and early spring (March), Centre Island services are often reduced or redirected to Ward's Island due to ice or lower demand. It is important to note that while you can stay on the island late, all commercial amenities, including the Centreville Amusement Park and most cafes, are seasonal and generally remain closed until May. Residents live on the island year-round, so the ferry is a lifeline that runs late, but for tourists, the "effective" closing time is sunset, as there is very little public lighting on the trails and beaches, and the return queues for the ferry can become quite long as the evening temperature drops.
