What time should I be at Universal Studios Orlando?

As a general rule of thumb, we recommend arriving at Universal Studios Orlando 45-60 minutes before the park opening. This will allow you to be some of the first families into the theme park and get onto some of the most popular rides with very little to no wait.

For a successful 2026 visit to Universal Orlando Resort, your arrival time should be dictated by the specific park and your access to Early Park Admission (EPA). As a general rule, you should aim to arrive at the parking garage at least 60 to 90 minutes before the official park opening. For Islands of Adventure and the new Epic Universe, arriving 60 minutes before opening is highly recommended to stay ahead of the massive crowds drawn by attractions like VelociCoaster or Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry. If you are staying at a Universal hotel and have EPA, you should be at the turnstiles 45–60 minutes before that early hour begins. Arriving early is essential because you must factor in the time required to clear the central security hub at CityWalk and the 10-15 minute walk from the garage to the park gates. By being "front of the pack," you can often experience two or three headliner attractions with minimal waits before the "rope drop" crowds fully saturate the park mid-morning.
