Where can I walk from St. Thomas Cruise Port?

WALKING TO CHARLOTTE AMALIE FROM HAVENISGHT You can easily see downtown Charlotte Amalie with its shopping and other attractions from the cruise ship port at Havensight. There is a substantial bay lying between the cruise port and downtown.

Where you can walk depends on which of the two ports you dock at in St. Thomas. If you dock at Havensight (WICO), you are in a very walkable area. You can easily stroll to the Havensight Mall for duty-free shopping, the Skyride to Paradise Point (a gondola that takes you up for a view), and even walk about 20-25 minutes along the waterfront into the heart of Charlotte Amalie. If your ship docks at Crown Bay, the walking options are more limited. You can explore the Crown Bay Center right at the pier, which has several shops and bars, but a walk to the main town of Charlotte Amalie from here is quite long (about 45 minutes) and follows a busy industrial road with narrow sidewalks. In 2026, most Crown Bay passengers prefer a quick $5–$10 taxi or water shuttle into town. For those docking at Havensight, the "Yacht Haven Grande" marina is also a beautiful, high-end walking destination nearby.
