Who is eligible for USO lounge?

Active duty and retired military personnel, National Guard, reservists, and their dependents are welcome in the lounge. Military ID is required. We look forward to seeing you! 703-417-8876 .

Eligibility for USO (United Service Organizations) airport lounges is strictly governed by a Congressional Charter and the organization's mission to support active-duty military members. As of 2026, those eligible to use the facilities include Active Duty service members of the U.S. Armed Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Space Force, and Coast Guard), members of the Reserve and National Guard, and their dependent family members with a valid U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) ID card. Military retirees with a valid DoD ID card are also typically allowed access, though this is often on a "space-available" basis depending on the specific lounge's capacity. Additionally, Gold Star Families and families of the fallen are welcomed with special care. Unfortunately, the USO does not extend general access to veterans who are not retired or disabled enough to hold a specific DoD ID card, as the organization’s resources are prioritized for those currently in service and their immediate families. Always have your Common Access Card (CAC) or Next Generation USID card ready for check-in.
