Why do they have metal detectors on the VelociCoaster?

- Visitors will have to pass through metal detectors placed outside three roller coasters to deter them from taking keys, phones, loose change and other items on the rides. The Orlando theme park tested the metal detectors last month in an effort to keep visitors safe from flying objects.
