Why is the lazy river at the Atlantis closed?

The true lazy river is in the section by Beach Tower that is currently closed for renovations. This section has been closed for a long time (at least a year). The Rapids River, which has some floating sections, river rapids, and big wave surges sections is open.

The 2km long lazy river & rapids takes a good 20 minutes or so to do a full circle around the outskirts of the park, containing the two towers where all the rides are. There's also a private man-made beach for the waterpark too, so there's plenty to keep you busy all day long.

Without a Day Pass, you'll likely not be able to get past security to see much of the resort. They were very strict about wristbands and room keys (which are dated with your checkout date). The only places you are able to access are the Casino, Marina Village, and the lobby areas.
