Can Disneyland tickets be refunded if not used?

Tickets, and associated features and entitlements, such as the Park Hopper or Disney Genie+ entitlement, are nonrefundable, nontransferable, revocable and may not be redeemed for cash.

Standard Disneyland tickets (both in California and Florida) are strictly non-refundable and cannot be returned for cash. Once you purchase a ticket, Disney's policy is that it is a final sale. However, there is a silver lining: even if you don't use the ticket by its expiration date, the value you paid for an unused, unexpired ticket can usually be applied toward the purchase of a new ticket for a future date. You will simply have to pay the difference if the new ticket is more expensive. For multi-day tickets, if you have used even one day of the ticket, the remaining days generally cannot be refunded or credited back once the "usage window" has closed. Special event tickets, like those for the "Oogie Boogie Bash" or "After Hours" events, are particularly strict—they expire on the date of the event and hold no value if not used. In 2026, the best way to manage a change in plans is through the "My Disney Experience" or Disneyland app, where you can "Change Ticket" to a different date before your scheduled visit to avoid losing your investment.
