Can I use contactless on Translink buses?

Each time you board a bus: Metro services: To pay for your own travel, simply tap once with your contactless credit or debit card, or smart device where you see the contactless symbol on the driver's ticket machine reader. (Translink refer to this as 'Tap On Only' mode').

TransLink customers can now pay for their rides using debit cards on every bus and fare gate in Metro Vancouver. Previously, customers were able to tap credit cards, along with Compass cards and readers but now debit cards will also be an option.
