The Town of Wrightsville Beach has over 1,600 metered spaces available for public parking. Meters are enforced every day from March 1 to Oct.31 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. (with some enforced 9 a.m. - 8 p.m.).
If you continue to ignore your obligation to pay, the town may seek alternative forms of collection, including a collection agency, credit bureau action, or small claims court. Individuals who accumulate 3 or more unpaid citations are subject to have the vehicle immobilized (booted) or towed until full payment is made.
How much are parking tickets? Parking fine amounts vary depending on the violation. Most meter violations are $50. If not paid, within 3 days, the penalty is $60; if not paid within 10 days, the penalty is $70.
The citation amount charged for these and other parking violations is $100. Citations paid within 48 hours of issuance will be reduced by 50%. Citations that are unpaid after 15 days will have a $50 penalty added to the citation making the total due of $150.
