The safety and well-being of everyone who uses Uber Eats is always our priority. We have updated our delivery experience to be as contactless as possible: all deliveries are now contact-free and we have communicated to Eaters that all orders will be delivered this way.
On the Uber app, a rider can review their trips, click on a particular trip, and find the option to submit a dispute for the damage fee they were charged for. On the Lyft app, a rider can review their ride trips, tap “Get Help” and “Request a Review” for the additional fee that was charged to them.
Phone support is available 24/7 for drivers & riders in the UK. Just open the “Help” section and select 'Call Support' to be connected to our support team via the app. Riders can also get to us the old-fashioned way by simply calling 0808 189 7190 in the UK. Riders outside the UK can contact support from in-app.
With the Uber app, riders and drivers connect 24/7, and convenience is prioritised every step of the way, starting with booking a trip. All it takes is a few taps to get started. Download the mobile app, enter your pick-up and drop-off addresses, then select UberX to confirm your trip in London.
Resolving Your RequestYou can submit a request for a refund or a general complaint about your ride to Uber's customer service team at help.uber.com or in the app within 30 days of encountering an issue.
There is no customer service email address to which you can directly send a message. So to email Uber customer service, you will have to submit a request on Uber's Rider Help portal. Once you submit a request for Uber to contact you, you will receive an email at the email address you designated.
By dialing the toll-free number 1-833-USE-UBER (1-833-873-8237) in the U.S., customers can speak with an agent in English or Spanish to request a ride on-demand or reserve one for a future trip. Uber has piloted ride-hailing via phone before.
We will always provide a full refund of the upfront price you were charged at the time you requested your trip if you decide to cancel it. If you were charged a cancellation fee, this might not be included in the refund. The refund can take up to 7 business days to process, depending on your bank issuer.
It's fine for a spontaneous journey but I wouldn't rely on it. If it's an important appointment and you need 100% reliability it's probably better to book a black cab or a minicab from a respectable company in advance, or use public transport of that's an option available to you.
Uber uses software to detect accounts that might be engaging in fraudulent activity. Then, a specialised team manually reviews each case before deciding if fraudulent activity has taken place.
Uber might charge you for a temporary authorization hold, which Uber positions after requesting a ride at an upfront regular fare price. The difference between actual Uber charges and fraudulent charges for an Uber rider may also be due to your friends or family members taking a ride using your account.
You'll receive an initial update from our Disputes team within 10 business days. Our team may reach out for additional information throughout the process. Be advised that dispute cases can take up to a total of 90 days to fully resolve (please note that we are unable to expedite this process under any circumstances)
At the start of a trip, Uber may place a temporary authorization hold for the upfront price of the trip on your payment method. This will show up as a “pending” charge on your account's payment method. When the trip completes, this authorization hold is converted to a charge for the final trip price.
Once you reject a delivery, the Uber Eats driver app returns to the ready screen. The delivery that you were offered will then be offered to another driver. Beyond that, nothing else really happens.
We know it's important to have your order delivered on time. Merchants and delivery people do their best to meet this expectation. External factors such as traffic and weather conditions, or a busy merchant can cause delays.
