For the general public, the islands are a "car-free" zone, and visitors must leave their cars at mainland parking lots and travel over as pedestrians. Bicycles, strollers, and wagons are welcomed on all ferries. For those with mobility issues, the city provides accessible ferry service, but this does not grant permission to bring a personal vehicle onto the island's parklands.
