What is the name of the Disney Living community?

Storyliving by Disney is a business venture and brand of The Walt Disney Company announced on February 16, 2022, to collaboratively develop master-planned communities that utilize Disney Imagineering and are staffed by Disney cast members. It operates under the company's Disney Living Development, Inc. subsidiary.

The name of the new Disney-branded residential community initiative is Storyliving by Disney. The first community currently under development is named Cotino, located in Rancho Mirage, California (in the Coachella Valley). This is not Disney's first foray into town-building—they previously developed the town of Celebration in Florida—but Storyliving represents a new model where Disney Imagineers help design the "creative concept" and local developers handle the construction. Cotino is designed to be a "vibrant oasis" centered around a 24-acre "Grand Oasis" lagoon. Residents can choose to join a voluntary club membership that provides access to Disney-curated experiences, wellness programming, and entertainment. There is a specific section of the community dedicated to residents aged 55 and older, known as "LongStory." The goal of these communities is to bring the "Disney standard of hospitality" and storytelling into everyday residential life, creating a curated neighborhood experience for superfans and those who value high-end, themed communal living.
