The central and main railway station for Verona, Italy, is Verona Porta Nuova. While there is another smaller station called Verona Porta Vescovo, Porta Nuova is the primary hub for all high-speed "Frecce" and Italo trains, as well as regional services connecting to Milan, Venice, Bologna, and Florence. The station is located just south of the historic city center (Centro Storico). From the front of the station at Piazzale XXV Aprile, you can reach the famous Verona Arena and Piazza Bra in about 15 to 20 minutes by walking straight down the grand Corso Porta Nuova. Alternatively, almost all city buses (lines 11, 12, and 13 are popular) depart from the stands directly outside the station to take you into the heart of the city in under 5 minutes. The station itself is a full-service facility with a large ticketing hall, luggage storage (deposito bagagli), various cafes, and retail shops. If you are arriving from the Verona Villafranca Airport (VRN), the "Aerobus" shuttle will drop you off directly at this station, making it the gateway for almost every tourist visiting the city of Romeo and Juliet.
