Is there an elevator in Volcano Bay?

At Volcano Bay, only the Krakatau Aqua Coaster and Maku Puihi Round Raft Rides have elevators; for the other slides, you must be able to climb stairs to the top.

Yes, Universal's Volcano Bay water park is designed with ADA accessibility in mind and features elevators and lifts for guests with mobility needs. While you won't find an elevator to the top of every individual slide (most require climbing stairs), there are elevators located at the main entry points and in the locker/changing areas to help guests reach different "villages" and dining decks. For the attractions themselves, Volcano Bay offers a "high-value" accessibility feature: several of the major slides, such as the Krakatau Aqua Coaster, have boarding lifts specifically for guests who use wheelchairs, allowing them to bypass the traditional stairs. For 2026 visitors, it is a "pro-move" to visit Guest Services upon arrival to receive a "Guest Assistance Pass" and a map of the "Accessible Path," ensuring you can navigate the tropical paradise without the physical strain of the volcano's many vertical levels.

It's not 100% necessary because there are lots of water sprinklers across the paths. I'm a bit mixed on them. Some slides have to be barefoot, so there are shoe racks at the entrance. However, often the exit to the slide is ages away from the shoe rack to you have to hoof it back to get your shoes.

Keep in mind there are no “weight restrictions” on any of Universal's theme-park attractions; instead, it comes down to how your unique body dimensions fit inside each ride's restraint system. Two people may weigh the same, but one will fit and the other will not — which is why the test seats are so important.

Express Pass at VB is VITAL on busy days. I rarely buy UXP for the other parks, but it's a must there. If you've never been or used the Tapu Tapu system it's great, but on very busy days it can't handle the crowds. Buying UXP eliminates that.
