What happens if you lose your TapuTapu?

The wearable is immediately disassociated from your guest account upon your return of the wearable at the park exit. Lost or missing wearables can be immediately placed on hold or completely disassociated by Guest Services or Concierge Hut Team Members.

If you lose your TapuTapu wearable while at Universal’s Volcano Bay water park, you should immediately head to a Concierge hut or the Guest Services desk near the park entrance. Since the TapuTapu is linked to your park admission and your "Virtual Line" reservations, losing it means you cannot join new queues or access your "TapTu Pay" account. The staff can quickly deactivate your lost band to ensure no one else uses your linked credit card for purchases. They will then issue you a replacement TapuTapu at no cost, provided you can present your original ticket or show proof of your reservation in the Universal Orlando app. Once the new band is synced, your previous Virtual Line spots and any digital photos you took will be restored to the new wearable. To prevent loss, make sure the strap is securely fastened and "clicked" into place; if you find the strap feels loose, you can ask a Team Member for a "security slider" which helps keep the band from popping off during high-intensity slides like the Ko’okiri Body Plunge.

Express Pass at VB is VITAL on busy days. I rarely buy UXP for the other parks, but it's a must there. If you've never been or used the Tapu Tapu system it's great, but on very busy days it can't handle the crowds. Buying UXP eliminates that.
