Should my husband and I have separate Disney accounts?

So, when it comes to deciding whether or not you and your husband both need your My Disney Experience app and account, here are the types of things I would consider. Will you be together throughout your trip and is it easier to have one person making plans? If so, one account should work just fine.

Everyone in your family should be on your My Disney Experience account. For example, on my account, I have my husband and 2 kids. When I go to book a vacation, I simply select their names onto my travel party.

While account sharing is not allowed by Disney, that doesn't mean you aren't allowed to set up separate profiles inside of your household. Your home can use the same account and share it across separate user profiles. Being able to stream across four devices at once substantially helps.

You may not share your account and subscription outside of your household. “Household” means the collection of devices associated with your primary personal residence that are used by the individuals who reside therein.

Up to four different devices can watch Disney Plus at once. Each Disney Plus account can have seven active profiles so that the whole family can have their own profiles.

Hover your mouse over the My Disney Experience tab, then click My Family & Friends. Scroll down until you see the people you'd like to co-manage plans with, then click Update next to their name. When you're here, click Share Planning, which will invite this other Guest to accept and co-manage their account. Ta-da!

If you purchase an Annual Pass, one is needed for each family member ages 3 and up. If you are a Florida resident, you can purchase the Disney Pixie Dust Pass or Disney Pirate Pass.

On your device, go to My Profile and choose Family & Friends List at the top. Scroll to the bottom of your list and select Add a Guest and then Scan their linking code. You'll be able to use your phone's camera to scan your wife's linking code. Once she accepts the invitation to connect, you should be all set.

At minimum, guests will need to visit at least 6 times (as long as they park hop) or 9 times (if they don't park hop) to get their money's worth on the highest level pass. If you are satisfied with one trip to Disney World in a year, the Annual Pass might not provide enough value to be worth the major spend.
